This was my mom's Christmas present from all of us (her kids). She's always told me that I was her best Christmas present ever ;) (I was born 4 days before Christmas but was able to come home on Christmas morning) but I am pretty certain that this gift was the 2nd best Christmas present. We made her cry, so we did a great job!! :)

Go Texans!!!
Michael's dad called us at 10am on Sunday morning and offered us his Texans tickets to the last game. Of course we accepted! It was really cold out but we bundled the baby up and took her on her very first metro train ride and to her very first Texans game! I am pretty sure that Ava is going to be her Daddy's football buddy. You can have cartoons, movies, music, whatever, on TV and she pays no mind to it. But every Sunday when Michael has the game on she stands there and stares at the TV. She pretty much had her eyes glued to the big screens at the Texans game the whole time we were there.

Title Change..
I have spent quite some time tonight modifying my blogger template and trying to get it just the way I want it. It's not exactly what I had in mind, but I like it nonetheless.
I have been contemplating changing the title of my blog for a while now. When I first started blogging I had a hard time thinking of a title that I liked. I haven't ever really felt like "heart-shaped-box" fit.
That being said, I have decided to change the title of my blog to "Crazy/Beautiful".
My (Our) life is crazy.
And it's beautiful.
Enough said. :)
Not to mention, Crazy/Beautiful used to be one of my favorite movies.
So, there you have it..

Noel and Nicholas' last days
This is what we found Tuesday morning (Dec. 23rd) when we woke up. Those silly elves climbed up the Christmas tree!
And this, is what we woke up to on Wednesday morning (Dec. 24th). Those mischievous little elves made a HUGE mess in the kitchen! Looks like they decided to try and bake some cookies and in the process, managed to cover themselves in flour!
Nicholas took the star off the top of the tree and Elise's ornament is hanging from his ear!
Noel is wearing Ava's "Baby's First Christmas" hat!
Silly Elves!

Not Me! Monday
Not Me! Monday sure does put a little of excitement into the day. You know, considering that Mondays are one of the BLAH-ist (so it's not really a word, who cares?) days of the week. With an exception of the week of Christmas! No day this week could possibly be blah!
So, here we go with my list of things that I most certainly did not do.
So, here we go with my list of things that I most certainly did not do.
- Friday, while trying to finish up some last minute Christmas shopping before picking up the kids, I absolutely did not forget to fasten my 9 month old daughter in her car seat and drive from one store to another. I did not realize this stupid, idiotic, irresponsible thing when hearing my little girl bouncing up and down in her car seat, only to turn around and find her standing in her seat smiling at me. I did not just about have a heart attack, park, grab her in my arms and call my mom crying. Nope, not me! What mother would forget to fasten their baby in the car seat!! Sure as heck wasn't me! (PLEASE tell me that I am not the only mother who has done this! I mean, NOT done this..)
- I did not go out into the crazy madness of last minute Christmas shoppers today to get my last minute gifts. I wouldn't wait until 3 days before Christmas to finish my shopping! No way, not me!
- I do not still need just a couple more small gifts for a couple more people. That would really be ridiculous!
- My house does not look like a tornado hit it and it is not driving me absolutely crazy!!!!
- I did not buy my husband quite a few gifts regardless of your "agreement" to not buy for each other this year. Why would I do that?? ;)
- I have not totally and completely ignored the massive piles of laundry that are in need of washing, hoping that eventually they will somehow wash, dry, fold and hang themselves. Nope, not me!
So lets see your Not Me! Monday list! Head on over to MckMamma's blog, My Charming Kids, for more Not Me! Mondays.

23
I enjoyed a great birthday this year! Just having my love home with me was wonderful in its self. He got up early this morning and picked up donuts, a sonic Dr. Pepper, Orchids (one of my favorite flowers) and a birthday cake and card for me.
The kids gave me a birthday card on Saturday when Elise was here. They all signed their names (even Ava!) and Elise even wrote "Mommy Ashley" on the front of the envelope. So cute!
Michael also gave Ava her bath and I did not have to change one poopy diaper today! (matter of fact, I didn't have to change any diapers today) I could get used to that! LOL

We were able to enjoy a nice, long nap while the baby was sleeping, which was great!
I got numerous text messages and phone calls with wonderful birthday wishes from my family and close friends. (thank you!) And even got a phone call from Elise! :)
My mom, step-dad and my brother and sisters came by and had cake with us. They also brought along a huge balloon that sings happy birthday as well as a gift card to Walgreens photo shop (I can have some pictures printed out now!) and a Chi! (I have been using Amber's Chi. I am sure she will be glad to have hers all to herself again!)
My aunt also stopped by today with a card and my dad and Kim gave me my birthday gifts yesterday.
Thank you to everyone for making my day special. I love you all!

Our little Ballerina
I had the opportunity to see some of Elise's dances at her school on Wednesday. She will have her actual recital in May. She was adorable! Daddy wasn't able to make it due to having to work, but I took plenty of pictures and got a video as well that he was able to watch. I recorded the video sideways on my camera and am not able to fix it so I'll just leave you with some of my favorites of the fourty I took!

Baby, It's Cold Outside
I am about a week late with this post, but it SNOWED here last Wednesday (12-10-08). A group of us went to dinner at Ichiban for my Dad's birthday dinner and that is when it first started snowing. By the time I made it home, it was coming down pretty good. I took a few pictures and decided to bundle Ava up and bring her out to see the snow. Of course, she wont remember it, but at least I have some photos to show her when she gets older, that it snowed the month of her very first Christmas! How cool is that?!
"This is COLD!"
Michael, Amber and I had a snow ball fight, and I attempted to make a snow-man but Michael made fun of it so I gave up. LOL
"Mommy, I wanna come outside too!"
