Wishing you all a *very* happy, safe and prosperous new year! Best wishes for 2008!!! :)

2007 memories!

Memories from 2007

Melanie made a slide show of memories from 2007 and I thought it was a really cute idea. I decided to do the same. I was limited to the pictures I had available due to the fact that I have been unable to log onto my laptop for some time now. I am only able to log in under guest. I cannot remember my password for the life of me, so I am not able to view any of my pictures that were saved. Thankfully I still had some of them on myspace or slide shows and such. I couldn't get the slide show to appear on this post and had to have do it for me.. So the slide show is posted above.

Our Family Christmas

I must say that I enjoyed my first Christmas with Michael, Tyler and Elise. We picked up Elise around 11:30ish on Christmas morning and Tyler right after. Melanie gave us a homemade card that her and Elise made for Michael and I. There was also her school Christmas picture in it and she even wrote her name! It was really cute and really sweet! I have already filed it in the filing cabinet to keep! ....Michael and I decided to let the kids open half of their presents from him and I and the other half Santa brought the next morning :) So once we got home from picking them up we all opened presents. The kids got a lot more than I had originally thought which was good! :) After we had our Christmas here, we went to my mothers house so the kids were able to open the presents from her and my grandparents. And then my dad, Kim and the boys came by our house to pick up their gifts. We set up Tyler and Elise's TVs in their rooms and just hung out playing with new toys all day. You could tell Elise was worn out from all of the holiday festivities. Poor thing. But she still had a good time. Her and I decorated some Christmas cookies for Santa and then woke up the next morning and had another Christmas with the kids. Lol! It has taken me a few days to put this post up due to the simple fact that I had so many photos to upload and also didn't feel like trying to summarize our Christmas into a short blog post. But anyways, the day after Christmas, Michael's mom came by to drop Nick off to stay the rest of the week and we also had a gift for her as well. I picked up a picture frame from the crafts section at Walmart and painted it this metallic copper color. I painted "Family" at the top and "We love you" at the bottom and put a picture of Michael, the kids and I. I also made her a Key holder and super glued some crosses on it. Anyways, they turned out really nice. :) I was pleased with our holidays and really enjoyed watching the kids open their presents! Here are the photos!!! Enjoy...

He also got me a memory card for the camera my sister got me and a new fossil watch with a pink face! :)

I also got him a really nice new poker set, some cologne from Hollister, boxers and a new hat. He also got some stocking stuffers as well.

My Special Day

Today was my 22nd birthday!!! To be honest, I think this birthday was the first one that wasn't to big of a deal to me. Lol. By that I mean...I'm getting older I guess! LOL! I'm pregnant and wasn't going out to celebrate and drink with friends and that didn't bother me one bit. Things are so much different now and its just another day to me. Although it was a very nice day, at that! Christina, Zolan and I went to eat lunch at Red Lobster with my dad, brother Jared, and my Aunt Tami. YUM! We had a good time visiting. My neighbors got me a card/gift card for my birthday which was really sweet of them. Elise called me and sang happy birthday to me!!! I could hear Jamie and Melanie singing it with her in the background and it was the sweetest thing. That really made my day! =)Michael wasn't home from Corpus Christi until about 7 this evening, but he had flowers and a balloon delivered to the house for me. It wasn't like any other set of flowers that I've gotten before.. it was actually a cake made of flowers! Very pretty! And my mom got me a puppy!!! She is SOO cute. She is a Yorkie/Maltese mix and she is so little! I wanted a good, small dog for the kids to grow up with and I really think they are gonna love her. Christina and I went to Wal-mart to get some things for the new puppy. (we have not yet chosen a name for her) I got her a water and food bowl set that says "diva" on it! Some treats, puppy shampoo/brush, a collar and a few toys. I also got her a really cute bandanna but she too little for it right now. I cooked spaghetti for Michael, Christina and I for dinner tonight and we put together Zolans new 3 wheeler toy. Its been a really good day, and I'm def. glad to have my husband home again. =)
Here are a couple pictures of the flowers from Mike and of our new addition to the family!...

Thank you all for the wonderful day, and sweet birthday wishes. It was greatly appreciated! =)

School Christmas Parties.

Amber and I went to Harley and Evans Christmas parties at school this morning. Evans class had a little train ride, and they made picture frames for mom and dad, and also made reindeer food. Harley's class made gingerbread houses, and played a few games. She doesn't really like to do any of the activities with the kids for some reason, so I didn't really get many pictures of here.. but here they are..

The kids had a good time at their parties, and of course got lots of sweets!

My friend Christina and her baby boy Zolan are in town and are coming to stay with me tonight I believe. :) I missed them and its good to have them around!
