Last night I had my Dad, Kim and her 2 boys (Ethan & Eric), my little brother Jared, and my Aunt Tami over for dinner. I cooked Pork Chops, rice and gravy, corn and green beans and also baked an apple pie for dinner. We watched Waitress together while the kids played. It was nice to visit with all of them. I don't get to do that often and with Mike being out of town the last 2 weeks, it has been a little lonely.
I also made dinner tonight as well. I had my neighbor Raina and her girls over as well as Melanie and Elise. I cooked chicken, rice and gravy and green beans, and Melanie brought over a peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream. It's always nice hanging out with Raina and the girls. Raina and I can talk and talk for hours! I'm really glad that Melanie and Elise came over too... I'll admit, I was a little nervous at first, seeing as Melanie is Mikes ex wife, and this is the first time we have hung out. But I think it went really well. The girls played while Melanie, Raina and I talked. I had a good time and hope that they did as well. Melanie is a really nice person and I always hoped that maybe we could be friends. I know some think it's weird being friends with my husbands ex wife but it really means a lot to me. I think it's a good thing for Elise and of course it's always nice to make a new friend. Melanie brought over a bag of maternity clothes for me to borrow which was really sweet of her. I also like that she and Raina have both experienced having children and so on.. It helps to have some people to talk to about all the things I'm going through. They both have a lot of advise and useful information. I'm thankful for the people I have in my life... I may not have many, but I'm content with the ones I have. Thanks Melanie for everything! :)
So I went to the doctor today for a UTI... they put me on antibiotics again, and want me to see a urologist. I'm not able to do that right now due to not having any insurance, and we just can't afford it. But Michael says that Ill go, just not tomorrow. I think I would be OK not going, but the main thing that worries me is the fact that UTI's can cause pre-mature labor. I have a baby inside of me to think about now, so I think it would make me feel a lot better if I checked in with the urologist like my doctor recommended. I have had a UTI 3 times in the last 3 months as well as an inflamed kidney.. it could be kidney failure or whatever. All I know is I just want to make sure that my baby is OK and continues to be OK. I am really bad about drinking sodas and I have gotten a little better about it, but Raina got onto me tonight for drinking Dr.Pepper. Once I started thinking about it... it's kind of selfish of me... I keep complaining about having a UTI and how much it concerns me but yet I still drink sodas! So I am on my second bottle of water tonight and am really gonna try a little harder to stay away from all the sodas. I HATE cranberry juice too, but I'm just gonna have to make myself drink it more often.
Talked to Michael tonight.. he is coming home tomorrow, but said not to expect him anytime before 6pm... So I'm not real sure what time he will be home. I asked him if he was going back next week and he said yes but that he wasn't sure what was going on after next week.. I'm not saying much about it right now, because he is paying the bills.. I know he is stressed right now too, but it really bothers me how much he has been gone lately. It's OK every now and then, I just hope this doesn't last much longer. I figure Ill let him finish this job and see what happens after that, before I say anything about it. I know he is the only one running this job right now, but if he has to go on another job out of town I don't think Ill be too happy.. I'm just trying to be understanding right now..
Anyways, just an update.. Thanks again Melanie for coming by tonight! It was great seeing both you and Elise.

I was a tad bit nervous too, but I'm glad we did it. I actually think you and I have a lot in common! You have a lot of qualities that kind of remind me of myself (if that makes sense). I guess it is a little bit weird for us to hang out. Do you think it bothers Michael?
Im glad we did it too. I've asked Michael and he doesnt seem to care either way really. He's just glad that things are at least civil between us all, you know?
That's good! Yall have fun tonight. We have a Pappasito's gift card that I think we are going to use tonight since my parents are babysitting. I'm glad you guys are getting to go out. :)
